Children's Well Being

Elke 2

The well-being of the children and wider school community is at the heart of everything we do here at Seething and Mundham Primary.  In these challenging times, we work with children and their families to support them in whatever way we can.  This ranges from spending time with the children on a 1:1 basis in our nurture room when they need it, to group interventions to support mental health and well-being, to family meetings.  If you feel you would like to talk to our well-being mentor, Rachel Weston-Vaughan or any other member of staff, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We also have our wonderful school therapy dog, Elke, who comes in once a week to work with children who need a little extra support. The children love seeing Elke at the school gate in the morning, we have seen that she gives everyone (children and staff!) an extra spring in their step for the day! All children are welcome to come and spend time with her.

We can also signpost you to further, specialised support where this may be helpful for you. Just One Norfolk is a great starting point for supporting families.  Their number is 0300 300 0123, or follow the link below.
